- Deb is an Independent Teaching Artist from Los Angeles; self taught; working in mixed media, currently residing in Greenville, SC. Having the good fortune of working from her home studio, Deb is able to practice daily with new ideas incorporating experimentation and interplay of materials without getting caught up in any limitations of medium, style or discipline. One can find acrylics as a basis for liquid metals; hardware cloth scrubbed into a painting, human teeth and hair included in an assemblage or collage, salvaged and found objects worked into a sculpture. While keeping her own work in progress, Deb also teaches classes, workshops and holds demonstrations for children and adults. When she’s not inciting the muse in her students, working in her studio, or perfecting her farmers tan, she can be found gleaning the the vast landscapes, nooks and crannies of the world for inspiration.
